On Monday 3rd, 2012 the Hellenic Institute of Transport successfully organized the 1st Workshop of the project “Easytrip: GR-BG E-mobility solutions” entitled "Innovation for enhanced accessibility to transport and tourist services". The Workshop, took place in HIT's conference room in Thessaloniki.
The Workshop was attended by the representative of the Joint Technical Secretariat, Project Officer Mr. G. Charalampous and representatives of greek project partners; the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT), the Chemical Process & Energy Resources Institute (CPERI) and the Municipalities of Thessaloniki, Thermi, Serres and Kavala. It was also attended by representatives of trade and tourism operators from Northern Greece. Specifically, it was attended by the president of Halkidiki's Hotel Association, Mr. Gregory Tasios, the director of the Commercial Association of Thessaloniki Mrs. Christina Molfesi, the representative of EOT Regional Tourism Agency, Mrs. Persephone Tricha and the president of all hotel owners in Serres, Mr. Christos Konstantinidis. The meeting and all discussions were coordinated by the principal researcher and EasyTrip project manager Dr. G. Ayfandopoulou, Civil -Transportation Engineer and the special operational scientist B, Dr. M. Morfoulaki.
The main aim of the meeting was to bring in touch Greek tourist and commercial enterprises operating in Greece and Bulgaria border area ,in order to discuss existing problems and reach support solutions through online services Easytrip.
